Welcome to Gomeldon Primary School!
It is with much pleasure I welcome you to Gomeldon Primary School - a happy and vibrant, small village primary school with a family feel. I have enjoyed being the Headteacher here since September 2023, and before that the Deputy Headteacher since 2010. I take great joy in seeing our Gomeldon pupils encouraged to grow and become the best they can be.
Our school is situated in the village of Gomeldon, within the picturesque Bourne Valley and is located 5 miles from Salisbury, 5 miles from Amesbury and 3 miles from Old Sarum. We are proud to welcome children both from our village and the surrounding areas to make up our Gomeldon community.
Our school life is underpinned by golden threads for Belonging, Curiosity and Apprenticeship which sit alongside our learning values of Relationships, Resilience, Resourcefulness and Reflection. Our behaviour values are Ready, Respectful and Safe. These work together to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where all of our children are able to thrive. They are true embodiments of our aim to be an inspirational learning community in which everyone is valued, supported, and equipped for lifelong learning.
In April 2025 we joined Pickwick Academy Trust, where we are delighted to be part of an outward facing group of primary schools who want the very best for all of their pupils.
Every day is Open Day at Gomeldon. I warmly encourage you to make contact with school and come for an individual tour to both see and feel what our wonderful school has to offer.
I hope our website gives you a glimpse of life at Gomeldon Primary School and some information about us. We look forward to working closely with you to achieve the best outcomes for your child.
