Sustainability at Gomeldon Primary School

At Gomeldon Primary School we believe that caring for our planet is a vital part of learning and growing. From reducing waste to saving energy and protecting nature, sustainability is woven into school life. We want our pupils to understand the importance of looking after the environment—and to feel empowered to make a difference, both at school and at home.

Through hands-on projects, eco-friendly initiatives, and classroom learning, our children explore big ideas like climate change, recycling, and how we can all help create a greener future. Whether it's planting in the school garden, walking to school, or learning about renewable energy, every small action adds up.

We're proud to be part of the Let’s Go Zero campaign, working towards becoming a zero carbon school. Together with our staff, pupils, families and community, we’re taking real steps to create a more sustainable world—one action at a time.
